Vue Entertainment, the UK’s leading developer and operator of state-of-the-art multiplex cinemas is delighted to officially announce that the long-awaited £2.5 million cinema will open its doors in Newbury on November 13th 2009.
Newbury residents will be amazed by this stunning seven-screen, 1,000 capacity stadium seated cinema, featuring a great selection of movies presented using the latest 35mm and Digital projection on its wall to wall, floor to ceiling screens, for the highest possible standards of picture and sound quality. The cinema will also feature Vue’s latest thinking in cinema design, including ‘VIP Seating’ in all screens, that will create a luxurious environment for cinema-goers to relax and enjoy their chosen movie, as well as the very latest high definition 3D digital technology.
The cinema will be open in time for some of this year’s biggest blockbusters, including; vampire adventures and romances in 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon', epic disasters in 2012, 3D magic in A Christmas Carol and James Cameron’s long awaited and highly anticipated groundbreaking 3D movie, Avatar.
Vue Newbury will be located on the corner of Cheap Street and Market Street and is part of a £7.8m development of the Kennet Shopping Centre, which will see the existing centre transformed to provide five additional restaurants, as well as the new Vue cinema.
